Ayurvedic Lymphatic Massage

In Ayurveda the name for the lymphatic tissue is Rasa. The word Rasa literally means our juice, sap, or essence. The Lymphatic system is called “The River of Life” in Ayurveda. The word “lymph” is Latin for “clear water”. It carries away impurities & nourishes all of the tissues in the body. It is our immune system, and is vital to our body’s sustained health. The lymphatic system resembles delicate rivers and tributaries spread throughout the body. When this internal river is flowing healthy and strong your immunity is strong, your hair is healthy, your skin is radiant and clear, your body is detoxing naturally, you feel calm, relaxed and invigorated.

We look at your diet & daily habits through the eyes of Ayurveda to see what routines, herbs and foods will support your healthy free flowing lymph. We start you off with a cooking class (optional) where you learn foundational Ayurvedic keys to cooking for healthy Rasa. You’ll be provided with 2 days worth of your meals to nourish you during your 2 day Rasayana program. You’ll receive your consultation on the first day of your program. We’ll look at the state of your Rasa, through the eyes of Ayurveda to see what routines, herbs and foods will support your healthy free flowing system. This consultation will provide the information to design your 2 day retreat - you will receive an Ayurvedic Lymphatic Massage with Hot Stones and Plant Infused Oils. The technique of Ayurvedic Lymphatic Massage is focused on balancing your lymphatic system so that it can function optimally. begin our first day of teh Rasayana with a last you for 2 full days we make program starts with an assessment - determining if your lymph is deficient or congested - Then we create a therapeutic oil for your massage sessions, do a garshana treatment with dry brush or silk gloves followed by abdominal massage, drainage for the lymph areas, and Ayurvedic massage.

We can also experience a forest fire that needs a fire engine to come to the rescue, which is when lymph nodes at the neck get inflamed and hurt. Those inflamed lymph nodes are telling us to stop and rest, take a break and pay attention, so the fire doesn't spread out of control. Care of the lymphatic system is best when it’s incremental and daily.

The massage with oil helps dissolve stress and opens the marma (physical and energetic) points. Then hot basalt stones are massaged over the body. The therapist may use warm stones placed on the body as well. Once the body is warm and oiled a deeper tissue massage can be used to open up the circulation and release muscle knots.
